Lately a recent love has become well designed infographics. Idn Magazine’s most recent issue is devoted solely to infographics with the fitting title: We ♥ Infographics.

I recently got a beta testing invitation to Daytum. While at the moment its breaking down my breakfast and beverage consumption, I think the possibilities of visually displaying how we use our time is fascinating. RescueTime breaks down the programs and website you use, how long you use them, and rates your productivity. Its been handy, but Daytum is sexier.

Nicholas Feltron has become designer-famous for this. His release of annual reports each year that detail his life in easy to read and innovative graphs and really good typography. He is also one of the main guys behind daytum, which explains its rad design. I don’t think I will be recording how many steps I take in a day, or how often I buy mangos any time soon, but maybe spending a week charting of how I use my time/money/etc would help me see where my priorities lie.
