07.09.09Handmade NationI won tickets to tonights Vancouver premier of Handmade Nation and it's going to be sweet! Before the screening there is an hour of booths and vendors selling their own handmades. Should be good. Come join in what is expected to be a rad documentary and beautiful evening as a whole. Rio Theatre, 1660 East Broadway @ Commercial Drive Screening at 8:00pm, Craft Showcase at 7:00pm

07.07.09Nevermind, it’s all ok.I think the only thing 12:34:56 07/08/09 affected is my scanner. It's now 45 minutes after the once a century happening and everything's ok. Good, because I have plans today.

07.02.09Basil Bombs!My basil plant has been growing crazy-like lately with all the sun and I had all these basil leaves and nothing to do with them. I remembered hearing about freezing basil leaves before from somewhere (quite possibly the internetz) before and decided to try it out. I put the chopped basil leaves into the ice cube trays (about a tablespoons worth) and the poured the water over them. In the latest issue of ReadyMade they had a tutorial on how to make ice-cubes. Who knew?! But actually what they suggested was boiling the water prior to putting it in the freezer ...
