The National Film Board of Canada

I remember when I was little, growing up in British Columbia, there was the Teletoon channel on TV and every once in a while late at night I would catch the show Oh Canada! which showcased canadian cartoons and short films. I heard last week that the National Film Board of Canada launched a new site with a ton of their content online. Below, one of my favorite cartoons from their vaults.

Note on the website: I like it, I never saw the old one but it seems quite useable. One thing that stands out which might not have been thought through fully is their tagline, “The world changes. Our stories live on”. It seems a bit eerie, doesn’t it? Reminds me of Children of Men when the advert for Britain comes on the television which proclaims, “The world has collappsed, only Britain lives on” (or something to that effect).
